Many years ago, I met a man that looked to be in his 60s, but turned out to be an 85-year-old physician. I asked him his secret, and he gave me an important illustration:

“People buy the best fuel, oil, and tires for their automobiles, but put the cheapest food in their bodies.” He told me it was crucial that I put the best food possible in my body and instead skimp on something else if I had to. (You can trade in your car, but not your body!)

After my wife and I had our first son, the food we ate became even more important to us. She began to buy organic food and foods free of dyes and other artificial ingredients, and she planted a small garden in our backyard.

In 2012, we purchased a farm, and in a small area, we planted a garden. We chose “organic” for this garden. No pesticides… it was tough! Since then, our garden has grown into the farms we have today in both Benton and Clearwater, Kansas, where we grow organic wheat and produce. In 2015, Glorified Farms was certified by the USDA as organic—we’re now one of only seven USDA organic certified farms in Kansas!

As we increase the size of our operation, we maintain our commitment to growing USDA certified organic produce and crops that are non-GMO and free of synthetic fertilizers and chemical pesticides. We grow the kind of food we want to eat! And we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
